Daniel R. Bishop
Private Wealth Advisor
Managing Director
I grew up in a small-town, working-class family and remember my dad once clocking 202 hours on a two-week manual labor paycheck. Despite his hard work, we still lived by meager means. Dad often told me he wished someone had educated him earlier in life about the importance of saving and investing. As an advisor, I can do just that: educate and help people achieve their financial goals.
I have always enjoyed making complex things simpler and more organized, so for nearly 20 years I have worked with clients on holistic investment planning, including asset management, retirement planning, insurance planning, and estate planning strategies. With extensive experience throughout major shifts in the markets, it is most rewarding to give my clients confidence by helping to piece together their financial puzzle.
I graduated summa cum laude with bachelor's degrees in finance and economics from the University of St. Thomas as an Aquinas Scholar.
In the community, I am a Founding Board Member of the New Prague Area Education Foundation and served as its President for three years. Currently, I serve as President of the New Prague Utilities Commission, and I am a member of the New Prague and Elko New Market Chambers of Commerce. I am also an active Rotarian, a Paul Harris Fellow, and former Rotarian of the Year for the Rotary Club of New Prague, where I served two terms as President.
My wife, Dara, is a high school language arts teacher and we live in New Prague with our two wonderful daughters. Our family enjoys being in nature and going on weekend adventures. I am an avid golfer and have been a member of the New Prague Golf Club since 2002.
